How is the nose job performed?

The surgery is usually performed under general anesthesia. Surgical techniques differ according to the presence of structures affecting breathing. It takes between one week and ten days to start working. If you work remotely, you can return to work after two or three days.

Since the stent and splint will be removed one week after your rhinoplasty, you should consult your doctor. Even at this early stage, you can see your new nose shape, although there is some swelling on your face. About two weeks after the procedure, most of the bruises heal and the swelling goes down. During the first month, it is important to avoid exercises that can be dangerous and other physical activities that can cause fatigue, such as football, where you can fall and get injured. Glasses should not be worn during this time. Generally, 60% of the swelling disappears in six weeks, 90% in six months, and the rest within a year. Rarely, in our patients with thick skin, 90% of the swelling goes down within a year, but it may take 1.5 -2 years to completely disappear.
